CM now remembers your most used sources |
If this all works (I'm doing the programming at this typing), then when you select a style (MLA, APA, Chicago), CM will remember that selection so that the next time you open the tool, it will automatically click out that style.
In addition, I am rewording the expanding button from Fewer and More to Frequent and All. CM will now record on your computer (via Cookies) the content sources that you use, and then list only those when you select FREQUENT. Clicking ALL will return all sources.

I've been using citation machine now for over 5 years. However the revisions you've made in the last few months have really turned me off to the site. I logged on today and I can tell you I'm not impressed, it's almost more difficult to use and my citations are not formatted correctly.
Sahar, Your's is only the second comment that I have received about the formatting, but that may be an indication of some larger frustration going on.
First of all, none of the work I've done over the past month or so (or last six months) has effected the formatting. So I am assuming that you are talking about the way that the "Click to Copy" feature works. You weren't very clear in your comment.
So I have removed that feature all together. We'll see if how that works.
I have done some further work on the memory feature that I added today, and it should work better now -- or at least no be confusing. Please let me know if it works better without the "Click to Copy" feature.

Quick question- I am yet to pick up my latest edition of the MLA book showed on your blog- when doing citation does one have to double space? and what do you call your bibliography? Bibliography? Works Cited? Annotaded Bibliography? (rookie once again)- Thanks!
I didn't know where else to comment but there is a little bug with the CMS online journal citation generator. It leaves out a quotation mark and a period after the article name. Just thought I'd point that out. Thanks!
I have been using Citation Machine for some time but have not had need over the last year or so. When I tried to use it today I couldn't get the ISBN look-up to work. Can you comment on that?
Sorry for the delay, Sarah. I've been on the road pretty constantly lately, but now getting to spend some time tinkering with CM.

Brent, the ISBN number lookup is working now. The folks who maintain my servers upgraded the system, which defaulted to a setting that prevented me from access the XML feeds from Google Books.
Anyway, I found another way to do all of that...

This site is a life saver for APA citations. I discovered it in my undergraduate studies and a findining invaluable foe my graduate course work. Thank you for creating and maintaining it. However, and isn’t there always a however, after entering the necessary info and clicking the submit there are advertisements that pop up and obscure the copying process. How did learn that they obscure some of the 'internet address? My paper was retuned with a big fat zero because the Reference page was not formatted correctly. Yes I should have reviewed the paper more thoroughly but after five years use I was caught off guard.
